November 22, 1987
AM: Walked 40 min in morning. Ankle very sore, right knee sore. Flying back to Brussels.

November 23, 1987
PM: Did 75 min all-round weights. Leg still very sore, knee better.
November 24, 1987
AM: Rode bike easy for over 2 hrs on forest paths and pavement. Enjoyed ride.
PM: Swim—only 16 min because pool closing.
November 25, 1987
AM: Weights—did “push-strength-endurance” workout with added situps, hamstring curls and leg extension. 1 hour. Foot improved—jogged 2–3 min without pain.
November 26, 1987
AM: Swim 48 lengths 35:50! [The pool was a strange length; this would have been about 1.8K.]
PM: Rode bike to Von Karman through woods [10K]—pushed quite hard. Ran 20 min (3 miles) at moderate pace. Felt no pain in foot. Rode bike home through woods.
November 27, 1987
AM: Did hard leg workout—70 min. Foot hurting a bit after—not sure why.
